The question is: can we win the BIG EAST next year? If we can, we will be in a BCS bowl. Such a crazy thought.

In FB that belief is half the battle. With our schedule next year if we can get 9 wins again were ranked come bowl season.

Return a bunch of dline that have been seasoned, bunch of good linebackers, a qb that is all balls bro, a punter and a long snaper, a $#!+ ton of wrs, some scrub named Muema. We should be quite good next year

So was Utah and Colorado when they stepped up. But, our step up not in that league. I think we are going to be ok next year, but who can predict now how we'll match up vs. talent of Louisville and Cincinnatti? What fun we'll have beating it to death for 9 months.

Great Schedule!! - Travel wise, I found this at the Houston Chronicle: "San Diego State will travel 14,300 miles with games at Connecticut, Louisville, Memphis and Houston. Boise State will travel 11,580 with games at Temple, Cincinnati, SMU and San Diego State. Here is a look at the travel mileage expected for all 12 Big East teams: School Miles San Diego State 14,300 Boise State 11,580 Houston 10,104 Temple 9,224 Rutgers 7,666 Cincinnati 7,208 Connecticut 6,746 UCF 6,644 Louisville 6,333 USF 5,950 Memphis 5,906 SMU 5,504 Longest trips 1. San Diego State at Connecticut (4,980 miles) 2. Temple at San Diego State (4,720 miles) 3. Rutgers at Boise State (4,280 miles) 4. Boise State at Temple (4,220 miles) 5. Cincinnati at San Diego State (3,720 miles) Note: Mileage is round-trip from nearest airport to school." blog.chron.com/cougars/2012/12/cougars-will-rack-up-frequent-flier-miles-in-inaugural-big-east-season/ The mileage coming back is immaterial. They'll be sapped from playing and will have a day off the next day anyway. Going there to be game ready is what really counts so if you cut that in half it's not that many miles. Hell, flying to Hawaii is over 5,000 miles one way.

I would guess the SMU or Temple game. First home game of Oct I presume. Like goaztecs said, it will be either SMU or Temple whichever gets scheduled earlier in the season. I suppose there is a possibility that it will be the home opener, but I doubt it.

Maybe I'll finally get to go to an Aztec game after about 20 years away...in Connecticut.

Maybe I'll finally get to go to an Aztec game after about 20 years away...in Connecticut. If they get the timing on that UCONN game just right (about Mid-November), the GF and I can do back-to-back weekends of SDSU-UCONN and Harvard-Yale, or even quite possibly a same-day double header!

Excellent schedule!
Exposure in the Eastern and Central Time Zones will do nothing but help boost our program’s reputation.

Family from Austin meets us in Houston. Great. Barbeque in Memps. Oh, my! The Shoe in Sept. Oh, double my! What great days to be an Aztecfan. OSU for sure, debating Louisville or Memphis - or both. OSU and Louisville will be by car with tailgating gear. I suspect you may go to UConn AF1? Heard you have a cheap place to stay up that way. May be a great train ride if it is near the Amtrak... we'll see!

Fly into Hartford CT for the UCONN game. The airport is about about 15 minutes north of Hartford. There are plenty of flights to Hartford except there are no direct flights from San Diego. UCONN is about a 20 minute drive west from downtown Hartford. You can also fly into Providence RI. UCONN is about a 50 minute drive west of Providence. There is plenty to see and do as there is so much early American History throughout CT. My daughter lives about 45 minutes south of UCONN in New London. She wears State gear and gets asked about it. They may not know what a Aztec is now but they will when state kicks their butts next year.

Fantastic looking schedule compared to this years. Now, with me on the east, do I go with Ohio State or Louisville to see our boys? Leaning on Ohio stadium. I'm going to shoot for both. Same-Already have OSU lined up- LT line up the Roadster as I will bring the Mujer and Tequila for BBQ and Beer in Louisville! Maybe one more... ;D
