According to the ASR article below about JUCO TE De'Marieya Nelson's (6'3 and 230 lbs) official visit last weekend, it mentioned that SDSU "still in the market for a few more tight ends". So we have Hewitt and Shields graduating, and Escobar rumored to be leaving early for the Draft. SDSU has the 6'5 JUCO transfer Aaron Boesch for next year, and a commit from the 6'5 (listed on Scout as 6'6) 230 lb David Wells. For sure 6'6 Matt Burke from Florida is the main TE target. Would also be interesting if 6'7 Bryce Fitzner of Francis Parker is being considered (already has an SDSU offer). sandiegostate.rivals.com/barrier_noentry.asp?ReturnTo=&sid=&script=content.asp&cid=1446060&fid=&tid=&mid=&rid=

We still got Adam Roberts aswell Doh. Can't believe I left him out, especially with his heroic 2-point conversion catch at Reno

We have only two tight ends on scholarship, you see a O Lineman playing tight end a lot next year. They are recruiting about four jC tight ends.

IMO, if Escobar leaves, Boesch is the #1 guy next year.

Does anyone have any real inside info on what Escobar is thinking? I know nothing but what I see from my couch but I think he comes back next year. He already has great hands and clutch play making ability. But in one more year he could Get stronger, faster and be a featured receive in a stacked offense. One more year and he could go from a late round pick to a Tony Gonzalez type TE.

no way, he will wait for an evaluation grade first if he tops out in top 3 rounds he might jump but its way to early for that!
