This week on Friday marks a quiet, but monumental time for Edison High School in Huntington Beach. Coach White has been a superb coach for 20 plus years. As a public high school, Edison does not have the advantage that the Catholic and other parochial schools have wherein they can recruit anyone from anywhere...
So this year, the so called "powerhouse" Pac five, and it is only called that, because the pac-fudge conference uses it to promote themselves, an illegal move like Notta Dame gets its own network NBC to cover its games...
The Pac-fudge, oops, the Pac-five final includes Mater Dei versus Long Beach Poly.
Edison was smart this year to drop down a division because if you notice only the catholic schools were "allowed" to win in the Pac five playoffs...
Edison is undefeated this season and plays Villa Park in the final at Anaheim's Angel beisbol park with kiddie attractions. If Edison wins and is the CIF champs, Edison will then await those frumpy, liberal, fat heads from the CIF in Sacramento to decide to over look the Edison team in favor of a Notre Dame fighting Irish team who has a stellar record of 6-6.
No. Watch this closely to see if the State CIF smucks cheat.
Edison's only loss of the season was to Mater Dei on a "controversial" last play touchdown, 20-14. And let me tell you, Mater Dei, the players on the football team, HAD NOTHING TO DO with the outcome. The refs however, I am sure picked up a cool bonus for the call that gave Mater Dei the lucky win...
Summary: if Mater Dei wins, and if Edison wins, Edison MUST receive a State championship game. Period. If they don't...well, it's chicago politics once again.
Let's see what happens. HAM

Yes. All seven referees are employed by Mater Dei High School for the Edison versus Villa Park High School tomorrow night...the TV will not cover it.
Damn.
Edison beat Villa Park earlier this year, 27-6.
It should have been a no brainer but for the refs. Can you believe how much the refs cheat for Mater Dei???
What? Oh.
Okay.
Sorry.
The game is tomorrow night...mye bad, mpff.

Edison beats the Spartans and win the CIF Championship despite the Foxsports blackout of the Edison Chargers to Orange County. Foxsports apparently thought that in the Orange County, that the high school football fans would rather watch a Riverside County or a lalaland, South Bay championship than their own championship.
What? Does Foxsports-South Bendover show NAU playing Weber State instead of the flighting I wish?HAM

Hey, you Aztecs need to help me out here. If my wife catches me talking to myself or posting an entire thread, alone, I will not get any bread for a week.
Edison won the CIF Championship last night!!
They finished with a 15-1 record and again, their only loss was 20-14 on a controversial, catholic call at matter day high who is playing tonight for the all-pac-catholic championship. This has to give all the committee needs to get them a State bowel game.

Two big turnovers did the Chargits in...losers.
Serra did not have one penalty the whole game and before the game started the entire Serra team went over to the lead official and kissed him several times...strange?
