Do they still have the bars manned by Filipino stewards every few holes? Used to see them when I'd drive down Miramar Rd.

Of course, given that you weren't an officer, it's unlikely that you would have seen that unless you drove down Miramar Rd. back in the day. I'm sorry, Pooh, but I well remember driving that road and seeing those booze stands on weekends. I understand that the Nav no longer allows that sort of drinking, but sure as Hell they did in the past. =Bob

Give that crap a rest! You do not know what you are talking about again.

I might be incorrect that they were Filipino, but they were there. You are sort of nit-picking on this one by claiming that they weren't Filipino while not denying that stewards of some sort or another were serving at the bars. Who knows? They may have been contract workers, but either way, I remember seeing at least 3 bars along the length of the course that could be seen from Miramar Rd. But then again, I was offering a joke and typically, you took it seriously. =Bob

Claiming they were manned by Filipino Stewards is just plain not factual. They would not have been stewards on duty since it was a MWR facility and still is. You again expose your ignorance of things Military and somehow think that making some kind of disparaging remark about Filipinos will make points with anyone. Give it up! You may have seen a snack bar there. One still exists with ladies serving hotdogs and drinks to golfers passing that station on some days.

I could see the bottles sitting on the top of the bar. But again, it was a joke, so lighten up. =Bob
