This is the 1st time I've seen UCLA execute a run n gun style during the Ben Howland era. Is this indicative of the way they intend to play the rest of the season? If they to to play run n gun against SDSU, we'll run them off the floor!

guess they just wanted to erase the stench of needing an overtime stop to hold off UCI.

Norman Powell had a career high 27. They were both taking 3s in transition. When you have athletes, you have to allow them to be athletes. Everything doesn't have to be a slow, grind it out defensive battle. Maybe Howland is figuring it out.

The problem with playing that style is when you face a tough defensive team, they shut all that down. If you can't execute in the half court, you lose.

Can't analyze much against a bad team. They're definitely more run and gun, but when they play someone tough they'll probably resort to the half court and grind the paint with their bigs.

what does jamaal think about ucla scoring 100? You guys complain all his threads are about Jamaal, then when he starts one about something else, you bring up Jamaal. Kind of weird.

If they to to play run n gun against SDSU, we'll run them off the floor! The rest of our schedule has their hands full against us. Once we start rolling on all cylinders, we're going to blow the spot. UCLA has no hope against us. ITs going to be funny playing the Pac teams and watch them get Head-shaking frustrated against our tenacious D.

So, don't start crowing so loud too soon. Yes, we do have a better team than the one they just pounded. And, our "D" is much better, but anytime you play UCLA keep in mind that most of their players usually are better, or of a higher talent than you have going against them. We can beat them, but it will take a complete team effort, and it probably won't be easy.

Yes, Howland wants to play more uptempo for recruiting purposes but also because he wants to highlight the talents of Shabazz, Anderson, and Adams. SDSU is much quicker and better defensively, but remember UCLA has at least 5-6 players over 6'9" so UCLA is taller and better offensively. SDSU being a short team, they have had problems rebounding. It should be a good game probably high scoring.

Lets stop caring about what UCLA does. We are going to kick their ass either way. Can't wait.
