I just wanted to say he looked like one of the better Aztecs on the court against Syracuse. I don't think anyone has given him any credit for that yet. I think he tears it up tonight too.
Haters gonna hate, but I think Rahon is solid.

hey, I've been one of his detractors on this board, and he definitely played with a lot more confidence than I'd seen from him in some time. I mentioned this on another thread: I think he should drive the ball to the hoop more often and draw in those cocky defenders so that he can find the open guy. That may be where he's most effective.
I hope his intensity for 'Cuse game was not an apparition.

He along with O'Brien looked good out there.
Everyone else apparently had "wind in their faces."

A lot of people seem to forget that he played hurt almost all last season. A now-healthy Rahon should be a very big contributor this season.

I was so happy for James seeing him play well on Sunday. Hopefully it is a big confidence boost for him. Now that he is healthy, I expect him to have a great year.

O'brien is just average i mean he seems solid but nothing special He is the exact type of glue player that every good team needs. Very similar to Tim Shelton, but healthy. He doesn't look spectacular, but gets the job done. True basketball fans appreciate the type of game that O'Brien brings to the table. Just solid overall game and doesn't try and do too much.

I hope his intensity for 'Cuse game was not an apparition. I agree that he looked good against 'Cuse (as good as anybody I suppose). I don't know that he needs to go to the hoop more though--I feel like last season a big part of his struggles was his release on his 3. I am not expert but I felt like his release was slowed, either by hesitation for a lack of confidence or a lack of trust in his ankle or whatever. He relied more on a pump fake that just stopped working near the midpoint in the season when everyone knew he wasn't the same Rahon. If he can establish himself as a real threat from the outside like '10/'11 instead of just a good shooter who doesn't shoot good (like last year), then I could see a dribble drive being more useful.

I said it in a different thread, but Rahon (and Tapley) looked the best in that horrible game. I agree that James should drive--he is very good at penetrating and finishing when the opportunity is there. And, he should shoot the three whenever he is open, as should Tapley. But only when truly open.
O'Brien looked really good in the exhibition games--yes, like a healthy Tim Shelton. Against Cuse he looked bad because he missed a layup. You can't expect to be a contender if you miss point plank layups.

It just occured to me. BBA has been MIA. Did he get suspended again? No, he's still pissed about Fish benching him after that lazy ass 3 point attempt in the 2nd half...
