I wasn't trying to suggest anything by posting the link. I was simply trying to educate others who also know next to nothing about the guy. I will say this. Since the average Aztec doesn't want to see USD become too good at hoops or baseball, it can be assumed the average Torrero feels the same about SDSU sports. So my further guess would be that Binkowski would rather see his bowl game be successful without having to rely on SDSU for help. Does that mean he hates SDSU? No, but I highly doubt he's objective about us either. I was responding to a different poster. But anyways.....you're assuming Binkowski gives a $#!+ about USD-SDSU. Neither of us know that. Nor is it relevant. The fact remains, if we go to the PB this year that will be 2 out of 3 years we've been selected after 12 years of not being eligible. Seems like Bruce wants that to happen, per his comments. Frankly, I wouldn't have wanted our team last year either. We were fringe eligible and hardly exciting. We weren't "fringe" eligible. We were two games over the bar. The bowl situation is another reason for going to the BE. There shouldn't have been a question of finding a bowl for us with an 8-4 record. Hardly exciting? With a record breaking back and QB? Come on man.

Come on man. You're right on the record, though we beat a load of stiffs and lost to Wyoming at home. We weren't particularly good. The bowls weren't exactly falling over themselves to book us. If you're going to hold the Poinsettia Bowl folks over the coals for not taking SDSU every single year they're eligible, then we'll just have to agree to disagree. Because I don't feel that way at all. Not that I want to play in the same bowl all the damn time anyways. 2010 was an exciting year. SDSU had finally busted out, had played some good football, and should have beat both BYU and Missouri on the road. We were a no brainer. This year, we have surpassed expecations and pulled off a big time road upset against a team well known on the national level. We're on a roll, and BYU-SDSU will sell, and sell big. I was underwhelmed in 2011. We beat the bad teams on the schedule, but didn't perform up to expectations, and ultimately lost to a ULL team I feel we should have beat. Lindley had alot of struggles that year also. I wanted to play in SD over NOLA myself, but I could see WHY we weren't selected. Thats the difference between us.

Bottom line James, there is no credibility in saying Bruce Binkowski is anti-SDSU if we're selected again this year.
None.

The Humanitarian Bowl did it for Boise. It would have been a win/win for them like it was for the Humanitarian. The Poinsettia needed SDSU as much as SDSU needed the Poinsettia Bowl as evidenced by the pathetic attendance and ratings it got last year.

Bottom line James, there is no credibility in saying Bruce Binkowski is anti-SDSU if we're selected again this year. None. There's zero credibility in saying he isn't when in the likely two years he was forced to take us we'll have blown away attendance and TV ratings compared to the year he didn't take us.

Who wants to travel to Boise anytime of year, let alone the dead of winter? They REALLY need the local team. Agreed last years matchup was whack tho. (Poinsettia Bowl)

Speaking of ULL, in case some folks didn't notice, the Rajin' Cajuns lost 27-20 at Florida on Saturday when the Gators returned a blocked punt for six with two seconds left. Granted, ULL was blown out at Okie State, but they are otherwise 5-2 and have a very good coach in Hudspeth, who has turned that into one of the best programs in the SBC. I still think we should have beaten them but our loss to them isn't looking as embarrassing at it once did.

Binkowski doesn't control the P-Bowl. He'll do whatever the owners (ESPN) tell him to do.

Poinsettia Bowl tailgate already being planned; I have NO DOUBT that the Aztecs will be playing the hated Zoobs of BYU. The stadium will have a great vibe and the Aztecs will play very well; they will blow out the Zoobs. Looking forward to this game.

Most embarrassing was the way we lost. Allowing that 40-yard completion then committing whatever stupid penalty on the line of scrimmage right before their final FG attempt, thereby putting their kicker five yards closer. Speaking of which . . . ULL's kicker, Brett Baer, now has the highest FG conversion percentage in NCAA history. Just one more example that the Cajuns were a better team than most of us expected would be the case.
