I feel bad for him, the reason is so stupid.

I'd be surprised if he misses five games. It's interesting that UCLA get punished when his vist there was by the book. Why don't Duke and UNC get punished? They benefitted by the visit. If this were SDSU it would be a dead issue. With UCLA's rep and money, I won't be surprised if he's reinstated on appeal by conference play.

Dude should be way more than 3 - 10 games. Follow what is happening at Indiana where two freshmen have to sit out 9-games. The primary reason is that the AAU coach was deemed a 'booster' by way of a total of $185 in contributions to the university close to 10-years ago.
9-games for $185 that was over 10-years and psoters are thinking 3-10 games? No way. If so, then the NCAA is truly biased as the Bazz 'allegations' are far more severe in relation to cost and who was behind it (i.e. 'financial adviser').
Probably a good kid, but his parents clearly did not use common sense in the recruitment of their child either that or the 'advisers' gave them really bad advice. My bet is a large amount of both caused this.
Sad all the way around that 'grown ups' are looking to ride the potential financial coat tails of a high school kid with talent. Time for these types to get a life and earn a real living while allowing the kids to be kids and enjoy the college experience whether or not they make it to the next level.
