Got nothing to do with it. Becoming a nationally recognized program is something we haven't had until now. It absolutely has everything to do with it. We can tell Kanas this game will be on ESPN. We could never do that before. Then how the hell did the Rebels schedule Louisville and North Carolina on ESPN while under the MW contract?

They were off campus at the Orleans - we aren't in vegas and don't have a bunch of potential arenas to hide our program away from the MWC tv deal

so they got a couple home games with Louisville, bfd. that were shown on espn. so saying we couldnt get games on espn until now because of the mw contract is obviously bs.

I wonder if not being under the thumb of the MWC TV contract is helping SDSU schedule these types of games. Got nothing to do with it. Dave L would say otherwise.

And I don't remember it, because it didn't happen, it was on versus per the UNLV website
vs. Louisville W, 76-71 Day: Saturday Date: Nov. 28, 2009 Location: Thomas & Mack Center Time: 1:00 PM PT Upset Special Runnin' Rebels stay perfect on the season with a 76-71 win over No. 16 Louisville behind Oscar Bellfield's 17 points and Tre'Von Willis' 16.

So, this tangent was useless. Good on UNLV though getting home and homes with Louisville under Kruger. We will likely have UofA home, at least 1 big east game at home, a big east game away and Kansas away, reverse those for the next year. Our schedule will be nice for the next couple years

The Louisville games were at the Thomas Mack. The 2007 and 2009 games were not broadcast on any ESPN channel.

I clearly remember it being an afternoon game and the rebels fans chanting overrated on ESPN. See if I can find google proof. Both games were on Versus. The ESPN game you are thinking about is when UNLV beat UNC at The Orleans.

They did play UNC on an espn channel, but that was because it was part of the made for the Rubles tournament at the Orleans while the rodeo is at the thomas and mack and it's helpful in getting them out of the MWC tv deal for a week.

Looked it up, knew I'd seen it on ESPN. I was wrong about which game, it wasn't the overrated chant game but the year before at Freedom Hall when Bellfield hit that jumper over Samuels at the buzzer.

would be great to get the games on the books with the BE teams, & Arizona, . Was there also talk of conference match up games with the WCC,Gonzaga, BYU, St Mary's. Also landing another good name tournament for 2013- similar to the Diamond Head this year. or a trip to Canada during the summer.

What?
Some psoters were and Rubles were certain that BW membership would not result in anything along these lines.
Guess the dual conference memberships will bring 'value' as this is empircal evidence that cannot be disputed.
Love the direction of the dual conferences and the 'games' that they are opening up across hoops and football.

if you can correctly predict supply and demand 3 years out you should have run for office yesterday For a game against a nationally elite program? Yes there will be huge supply and demand. Huge demand, supply is fixed.

Darn. What are we going to do about strength of schedule now that we're stuck in the Big West?
