A friend of mine was telling me that there is a kid fourteen years old and 6' 5" playing AAU BB in San Diego. Anyone know anything about him?

Who cares what level he's on? At 7'5 all he has to do is stand under the basket with his arms in the air. ;D

UCI believes they have the inside track on this kid for a multitude of reasons.
Bigger schools are getting on him and I think he goes to Georgetown. That system will help develop him for the next level.
Young man was a lot more athletic than I anticipated.

My coworkers son is also on this Grace Brethren team. They say he is still growing and learning. Last year was his first year of basketball. Put it this way you can't teach height. UCI would be a good local school for him.

The articles out there seem to point toward his parents wanting him to enroll in a school closer to home... would be a great get for UCI.

Without leaving his feet. This summer in transition he had one of the better dunks I have seen at the high school level. UCI could be okay down low with he and Clifford.

From what I have seen on this kid, he would get eaten alive by most of the starting D1 forwards. His lack of speed would allow others to blow right past him.

CBSSports had Ndiaye pegged for Pepperdine. That Irvine got him was a pleasant surprise. ESPN has him around 80 or so in their top 100 players, IIRC.
