I think Svare would be a better choice than Norv Turner here. 40 years since his last game coached. The state of the franchise is pretty much the same. ZERO Super Bowl wins.

Cowher would be a good choice, but IIRC, he's a Schottenheimer protege and may not be on the best of terms with Spanos.

Forgot New England etc. Spanos are a joke. Will never forget the Hank Bauer story. He had already been on the team for some years and he ended up in an elevator with Alex Spanos ... and Spanos didn't even know who he was! Think Jerry Jones Eddie D. etc. didn't know who their own players were??? Think any of the successful owners would have retained Smith & Norv.?

Bauer was a coach on the team with Spanos as owner so maybe Spanos didn't recognize a coach. Or maybe it happened with a previous owner. Or maybe the story is BS.

Bauer was addressing the disconnect between the owner and the team. He could have been a coach or announcer at the time. Compare Alex Spanos to any of the successful owners at the time....JOKE!
