remember LBF will be a senior? what ifffff J. Frank stay? I think its more likely that LBF will transfer his senior season ala his buddy Alec Williams than Jamaal staying for another year. Unless LBF shows improvement im not sure he will see the hardwood much. Shepard may take over the backup pg role and LBF may see the writing on the wall and decide to either transfer or just settle for mop up minutes. LBF as a freshman showed lots of potential but he hasn't developed his game much. The difference is LB is super close with the team, and while Alec was a good guy that got along with everyone, unfortunately his desire for increased playing time and general disposition after his freshman year alienated him a bit from the rest of the team. LB hasn't let that happen. I hope LB stays all 4 years and loves it. He is almost exactly what you want in a backup point guard.. if he improves his decision making a little, he will be exactly what you want. Team first guy who can bring energy and wants to get everyone involved. We should be thankful we have guys like LB who willingly take roles that help the team even if it isn't in his best interest in terms of individual accomplishments. Now Isaac.. he won't have to sacrifice anything, he will be our go-to guy from day one, especially if Jamaal leaves.

Let's stick with the topic as much as possible as the Hamiltons deserve it. Let LB be LB. Remember - We are in trouble if LB is our 8th guy or so like last year, but not 12th like this year. Emergency PG. We are loaded boys!!!!

signing Hamilton would be great but it's not a necessity. D' Williams can play 1 & 2, X will hold down the PG, and Matt Shrigley is more than capable of carry a scoring load. Allen, Winston, JJ, and Polee also play on the wing so we wouldn't be hurting at all.

Whatever positives we would get from him on the court, the benefits for the program image in landing a top 25 5* recruit will be huge and shut everyone up about our BW move. This one recruit alone moves the perception of our brand on the same level with Gonzaga in terms of a basketball power in a smaller conference...We are already almost there, but this one would seal it.

I agree with this. But the signing of Jordan McLaughlin in 2014 would be the biggest recruiting accomplishment in the Fisher era. He's UCLA's #1 priority and he still has San Diego State on his short list.

First things first, Try to get Hamilton, It would great for him and major boost Nationally for the program. Has Coach Bland set up a visit for him to come here. What would be better for him to come for game at the Midway. or a home game at the V- before early signing week- if he plans to commit to sign then.

Keep in mind that it isn't just Issac...if we get him to commit, we are likely going to get Daniel as well. This would be huge!

Obviously, i'm a little biased being an Aztec fan, but I just don't see a better situation for Isaac to step into the 1 position of need for us next year and be able to be the man from the get-go on an unbelievably loaded team under a legendary coach. That and then the fact, he gets to play in front of The Show. Without one doubt in my mind, I know where I'd go...

I agree that McLaughlin would be the best overall recruit we've landed, IF he comes here, but I feel that we're focused on 2013 right now. If Isaac signs, he would be the biggest recruiting accomplishment in the Fisher era, to date, despite individual opinions on his play. But that would all upgrade itself with McLaughlin if he comes here. And of course, with Kawhi (who is from CA) now in the NBA, Jamaal positioning himself to be a lottery pick, signing a top 25 talent like Hamilton would only emensly help SDSU's perception with top talent out west, i.e, McLaughlin. Winning games also helps! ;D We'll see what this year looks like for us starting in a couple days! I know it seems like UCLA can sign who ever they want right now, but what's the depth look like for them at the PG position? Also, BBA, do think signing Williams puts us at a disadvantage with McLaughlin?

But if you're SDSU, you can't bring your entire recruiting effort to a halt waiting for 1 guy who has 2 years left in high school. Rather JM comes or not, Williams was a great pick up.

UCLA has two committs - both guards for 2013 rated in the top 100,plus they brought in two this year. Washington has added two guards for 2013. SDSU loses 2 shootings guards and possibly Jamaal another shooter after the 2012-13 season- could really use a high quality SG- to provide some needed outside scoring.
