wOBA tries to create a single number that assesses a players offensive value. That formaula is detailed here.
In that formula, Stolen Bases are worth .25 each and caught stealing are worth negative .50. Cabrera's 44 SB and 4 CS is therefore worth 9.0. Using that same formula we can determine what that value is worth as expressed in other offensive achivements. The table below shows how other base stealers fair in that value. It has columns that show what those would be worth. For instance, it is equivalent to turning 9.7 outs into singles. That would raise Cabrera's BA from .246 to .271. It would be like turing 28 singles into doubles.
