Just missed a chip shot fg vs BYU. C'mon Seamus, step up.

Petersen is one of best coaches in the game but that play call on 3rd and 6 was terrible.

They sure have a defense, though.

Boise's offense has issues. That new QB does not look good at all and not impressed with their running backs. Defense will be tough enough to allow them to most likely win the MWC, but they are beatable.

Maybe they are having trouble kicking because of that stupid blue field. The game is hard to watch. Not to mention Boise is wearing all blue. I hope the BE or whatever TV network shells out the BIG DOUGH puts an end to that heinous field.

Not likely, but a possibility at this point. It would be hilarious to see BYU Blanked!!

0-5 on 4th down and a failed fake punt on their own 25. Do you think there will be a bunch of fire coach Petersen threads on the Boise board tonight?

Boise can be had. They have no inside running game. Their qb looks like a freshman. Hm Ok he is sort of. Defense is good but they aren't facing a QB, wr or running backs like we have. We can beat these guys.

Wow - BYU went for two. Fire Coach Mendenhal threads in Provo start now....By the way I thought it was the right choice. One play to win it on the road from the 2 yard line - do it!

Wouldn't be surprised in Boise drops out of the top 25 anyways.
Horrible game.

That was just dumb, dumb, dumb!!! Kick the PAT, tie the game and go into OT. BYU's offense had all the momentum at the end of this game, and were, therefore, the most likely candidate to win the game in OT. That was just a flat out dumb move by Mendenhal. But, I must conclude - I liked it, cause BYU lost.

Forced 5 turnovers, held the other QB to <60 yards passing (iirc), at home, and only won by 1 point because they failed a 2 point conversion. Turrrrrible. Boise is in for a surprise when the Aztecs come!

But, I must conclude - I liked it, cause BYU lost. If they have all the momentum they should be able to make 2 yards on one play. The odds are better going for 2 than going to OT. You only need 2 yards, not 25, or whatever the college rules are. And if Boise's D is as good as this thread says it is (I didn't watch the game) then the odds def. favor the 2pt conversion (something that will be required by the 3rd overtime anyway).

Boise is definitely beatable. Beat SJSU and Fresno State, and we could win 9 or 10 games!

It wasn't as if either of these teams were marching up and down the field. BYU's TD was the only offensive TD/score of the game. BM made the choice to win or lose at the end rather than put the game into OT. It was their offense that was moving the ball well during the end of the game, so the chances were they would win the game in OT; perhaps not by passing over the goal line, but by kicking a field goal. It was apparent that the Boise team does not have confidence in their kicker. Your point is well taken, but then one would begin to question, why ever kick the PAT?
It was BYU's arrogance that finally bit them in the ass.
