An undefeated, or possibly one-loss Big East season looks like it could put us in the Orange Bowl. Not a National Championship, but would put Aztec football on the map outside of the 619 for sure.
Or a run through March Madness - after winning the BW tourney and going undefeated in conference, we make it to the title game as a #4 seed at Cowboys Stadium.

Football over basketball, always. You of all people should know that our university makes decisions in this manner.

If it was national title vs national title it wouldn't be close in my book. This comes from a guy who like basketball more than football. Just the profits the university makes off a national title in football would be insane compared to basketball and could help put more funds into basketball, as well as possibly eventually having enough for a on campus football stadium. This however makes me think, honestly not sure.

I would much rather see a National Title appearance than a non-National Title appearance. Just so we could say we've been there.

Both would do wonders for our athletic programs, but a national championship is by far the winner.

Picking which one I would rather lose vs. win seems a bit of a bummer right from the get-go, but I'll play along.
NCAA Division 1 National Championship banners are hard to come by in any sport, especially for SDSU.
Making an appearance wouldn't get us a championship banner, but it would give us a Final Four banner to hang, presumably amongst others for that season.
Getting to and losing an Orange Bowl would get us a banner and fist loads of cash for everyone.
I'll personally take the Final Four appearance, as the run to get there would be magical and it is considered an ultimate goal for hoops programs that are not named Kentucky, UCLA, Kansas, North Carolina, Duke and maybe a couple of more, who are out to win the whole thing every year.

I voted for BSKB because its been so much fun. But if you don't understand by now that FB is the only sport with the ability to pay for all of the other sports....well, hows that art history major been working out for you.

I picked the NC game though. We'll be in the BE getting BE TV money already. So, I choose the prestige of a BB NC game to boost basketball's national perception -something that will be sorely needed given our BB programs sacrifice (moving to the BW conf). Such a game would help keep the BB programs recruiting momentum despite the BW move, and might be a difference maker in terms of keeping our program at the same level despite BW membership. Football is going to eventually get the Orange Bowl like game. For those who can't tell our FB program is on a slow progression towards the elite. We may all be dead and gone, but there will come a time when our football program competes in the B16 or P16. We won't be in the BE forever.
