To me this article makes the most sense in explaining the ramifications (or lack thereof) of ND's move to the ACC.

Yep, dig in and make yourselves comfortable Aztec fans. We're staying in the Big East for the foreseeable future.

Notre Dame needs to generate some testosterone. Playing the ACC in football for five games is like claiming to be half-pregnant. What is that? Notre Dame is afraid of making a commitment for fear it's the wrong commitment. Aresco should go after ND like Tyrannoasaurus Rex that hasn't eaten in a year.

Big East basketball will be a shadow of what it once was, basketball-wise.
I don't see how this does anything but continue the weirdness for football.
The question for us shouldn't be what is the exit price from the big east. It should be what is the exit fee from the Big West...

Attention ACC! REAL conferences don't allow universities to join if they don't play all sports!
That includes Notre Dame, which the B1G, a REAL conference, wouldn't let in solely for Olympic sports.

Attention ACC! REAL conferences don't allow universities to join if they don't play all sports! So by your definition then, the Pac isn't a "real conference" either because it has affiliate members - SDSU (until 2015), UCSB, Boise, Cal Poly, and Bakersfield.

A big Memphis vs. DePaul match-up? South Florida vs. Nova? I mean, really, their top tier basketball schools are walking away and being replaced by lesser schools. It's a noticeable difference. Did you see Calhoun is retiring? A sure sign UConn is next.

Who would want those teams in a bball league?

Did you see Calhoun is retiring? A sure sign UConn is next. That has everything to do with their NCAA punishments.

Once again, Gaucho, the only sports are football, men's basketball and, to a minute amount, women's hoops and baseball. Everything else is glorified intramurals. And, Adam, who said the BE is a REAL conference?

Hell, Gaucho, when your school starts earning five times as much in TV revenue because of the addition of SDSU, Boise and Hawaii, you'll admit I'm right.
