Watching tonight's Denver/Pittsburgh game it became pretty clear - Peyton Manning is still one of the best QB's in the league, maybe the best.
He's still, essentially, a coach on the field. There's no one quite like him in football. He's an old school QB - the guy calling the plays and running the team.
Denver's going to be a good team this year.

Denver ran into a really good team in Atlanta, but look at Manning's rebound after the first three drives! Atlanta's D-line was better than Denver's O-line.
But as the Broncos start to gel as a unit, and as Manning gets more arm strength as he recovers more fully they shouldn't have any other games that start like that. I don't see the Broncos winning fewer than 9 games, maybe 10 or 11.

The interceptions had nothing to do with arm strength. Manning threw into coverage all three times. Safeties played well over the top and he threw it up for grabs. The first one was a deflection, so I'll give him a semi-pass for that, but the other two were just horrendous throws and poor decisions. Still think Denver is overrated, especially on defense. If you can get to Peyton, he's a statue back there.
