I think this pretty much guarantees the Big East eventually signing a deal with NBC... for a pretty decent amount of $$$.

Hopefully NBC and Fox. The Fox regional channels are for the most part void of CFB this year.

Mizzou and A&M are not kicking anything. The SEC is itching to redo their deal after their arrival, especially after having to deal with the scheduling headaches the two teams created.
Now that the B12 is done redoing their deal, the SEC is next in line and you can bet it will be worth more than 20 million per school.

For the BE this is only more reason to be optimistic about what's coming soon. And for the PAC 12 it has to be disappointing, as I believe Scott still had plans to steal OU and TX. Pretty safe to say that will never happen now.

these contracts are only going to get bigger and bigger as time goes on. the reason they're so large is that live sports is one of the few times people still watch live tv, so advertising is more expensive because people still sit through it. there's very little money lost to piracy - it's just all very well controlled and there's no real threat to that control on the horizon.
if it wasn't for sports, i wouldn't have cable at all. i can find everything else whenever i feel like it. thats why theres so much money there right now.
