Interesting. Didn't expect him up, but hey why not. Let's see how he does. You going, Bill?

That is the 3rd row of regular seats right behind the plate. Sweet.

I take that back. I just bought tickets for tonight. Section 102 Row 10. That is the 3rd row of regular seats right behind the plate. Sweet. Really enjoyed the game. There were a lot of Braves fans close behind the plate where I was. They were all drolling over Chipper Jones. In the bottom of the 9th Chipper came up with a runner at first and one out. They were all yelling "come on Chipper", "let's go Chipper". So I yelled "double play, Chipper" and next pitch...Game over
I was so happy for Casey. He looked really poised and confident. The rest of the season will be interesting. Bass, Cashner, Kelly, Volquez, and Richard will be like a real rotation. Assuming Volquez isn't traded

The Braves are playing pretty well right now and neither Richard nor Volquez are pitching in the series. We played the Braves who have improved their club via mid-season trades. We played the Braves who just beat the Giants two games in a row before us 7-3 and 7-1, in San Francisco. We beat the Braves whose two best starters pitched in the series. We beat the Braves without our only two starters who are still healthy from the begining of the year. We beat a Braves team who historically has done quite well in San Diego. We beat a Braves team who has the second best ROAD record in baseball. Indeed, the Padres are on a roll.
