ok, this may take a few years BUT could be very a cool travel tourney for opposite conference fans. Honda Center one year/MSG the next.
Top 4 of the BW vs. the BE
Opening Round 1. SDSU vs. 4. Cinn 2. LBSU vs 3. UND 3. UCSB vs. 2. Uconn 4. BSU vs. 1. UL
I would travel for that!

Then what are your suggestions for scheduling ?? You talk a lot but have yet to pit forth anything of substance to help our team.

Then what are your suggestions for scheduling ?? You talk a lot but have yet to pit forth anything of substance to help our team. My ideas - 2 exhibitions* - 3 game round robin garbage tournament (aka Travelers Classic)* - 1 game versus a premium name opponent (not a juggernaut) that we will finally be able to pay to come to Viejas and maybe get the game on ESPN. A feat previously impossible with the MWC/CBS. - 1 road game versus a big name* - 2 games versus Big East schools per the scheduling agreement already made - 3 games versus old MWC/WAC teams. I see no reason why we can't get 3 games against a group of BYU, NM, UNLV, Colo St, Fresno, UNR, NM St, Colo St, Utah St year in and year out. - 1 or 2 games versus the Pac-12* - 1 bracket busters February game - 1 Thanksgiving, Xmas, etc tourney with mediocre comp.* - 1 game over the xmas-new years week versus a tomato can* - 1 to 2 other flexible dates that can be filled with good opportunities against great teams (Tip-off classic, Midway classic, Wooden Classic, etc) or at worst mix in a tune up opponent before conference play. *Indicates scheduling feats that have already been accomplished in the past with the MWC/CBS pittance.

Would ruin B.E. school's RPI. not really. they'll still have at least 8 or 9 teams in the tournament mix so it won't make a difference one way or another. Besides, it's not like any B.E. school would put together such a brutal nonconference slate like SDSU did last year - Bryant, Southern Utah, Elon and Chicago State were quite the Murderers' Row in terms of RPI

Thank you sir, for saving me some time.

Would ruin B.E. school's RPI. These are all teams who are Top 50 RPI teams. Do you think these guys schedule only elite non-conference games?

Would ruin B.E. school's RPI. These are all teams who are Top 50 RPI teams. Do you think these guys schedule only elite non-conference games? Long Beach State last year. 23-8 W/L record .5033 Average opponent's W/L record ((23/31)*2+.5033)/3 = .6624 = Effect on opp SOS. Michigan St. had the best SOS last year. It was .6147. Conclusion: Playing Long Beach State last year would raise any team's SOS. It would raise most significantly.
UCSB was 18-10 last year. 18/10 W/L Record .469858 Opp W% ((18/28)*2+.469858)/3 = .5852 = Effect on opp SOS. The #12 top SOS in the NCAA was Villanova at .5824 UCSB would increase the SOS of every team in the NCAA last season except the top 11 SOS teams.
SDSU would cause a huge increase in SOS.
