Yea, Lindley could throw the deep ball, but was inconsistent on the short to mid throws, unlike Katz. Pick your poison, but I'm looking forward to having a guy that can keep the chains moving with his arms and legs. A guy that can sustain long drives, eat up the clock, and give our defense a rest. Lindley did stretch the defense because of his arm. I think the question with Katz is can he zing the balls into tight coverage since he won't be throwing bombs? Flutter passes in short routes ain't going to cut it.

Felt pretty good with QB, TE, and RB's. Still have the same problems with WR's from last year. Unless the ball is thrown perfect they aren't catching them. The only positive was Lockett looked more comfortable as a WR and butler has good hands but no separation speed. Special team=> Well we now know why we are going for it on 4th down. Boy #77 shanked several punts. The other punter wasn't any better. The defense looked like it needs alot more work! They looked like the first half defense.... Yeah but those were unrushed scrimmage punts. Put him in a position with 8 guys trying to kill him and he'll do much better... The guy is definitely no threat to run out of punt formation. Monty, Wes Feer wears #49, so I assume he's the other punter you saw. In the linked film, Jeffries and Dingwell both threw a really terrible pass right into coverage. INTs by Colquitt and Fely. I'm becoming more and more glad Katz transferred. Glad to see Hardwick is being able to carry the ball. Film from his junior year before they moved him outside was highly impressive. Great moves. Oh and Price looks good again, too. Even with Ronnie leaving, we're fine at tailback. Wish I could say the same for every position, although I'm sure we'll be fine at receiver too.

So what is the deal with our punting game? I thought that McMorrow would kick and punt??

I thought the running backs looked good also. They did pretty well between the tackles, so good on the O-line. Rocky said we'd be as productive at running back as we were w/ Ronnie, just doing it by committee. I know Morin is way down on the depth chart, but I thought he looked composed in the pocket and threw some very good passes. They weren't caught, however, so maybe that left handed spin was an issue.

The only things I don't agree with is the Craft knocks. Shocking. Stop the presses. Ahhh, what took took you so long Mr Negativity? Your infatuation with me is now beyond creepy. Damnit, how many times do I have to tell you that I don't roll that way? I have a new name for you, and it's a fitting one, Mr. Trollalot. I mean s**t, I can think of 2 threads right off the bat that you went on, just to troll on some other poster in a(not in the least bit shocking) negative, s**tty way. Wow, nice reputation scumbag. Why don't you do you us all a favor and high tail it back to DC, or Virginia, or wherever you love to claim to be from. You sure as heck can't be originally from here, Mr.NegTroll.

Shocking. Stop the presses. May I make an editorial comment: Can we please stop the personal comments and stick to the larger topic at hand?! I never start the s**t as you can see. He follows me around like a puppy dog, and can't take no for an answer. Mr.NegativityTrollalot, is pitiful. You can't have a lower reputation on boards, than that of a Troller, and a negative one at that.

I dont know what Dingwells excuse is but Jeffries either has a contusion or a fracture on his right forearm and cant throw much less hold the ball in his right hand. I was at practice Weds. night when he ran for a TD and was injuried with a facemask to his arm when running over a db. I hear he has an x-ray on Monday. Props to him for having the nads to at least try. As far as Katz, I'm not sold on him yet. Let's hope for the teams sake he will meet everyones expectations.

I do agree. Katz is an more of an accurate passer as opposed to lindley. I think Katz reads the field better and is more mobile as oppose to lindley. The only thing lindley had over katz is game experience, leadership, and arm that sometimes got him in trouble. Still remember the Utah game were we were moving the ball and Lindsey through a bomb to the endzone that got intercepted. Example: The bubble screen thrown yesterday to locket, Lindley had problems throwing that pass. Like the previous poster noted, pick your poison. Lindley could also throw a deep out to the opposite sideline. Not many QBs can make that throw.
