This has been such a good PR move for the program.

This would be flat out idiotic, to go for it on 4th and 5 or closer on other side of field? Ok. But to go for it on 4th and 7 and longer frankly hurts the team, you will convert it at less than a 20% clip that long and kill field position.

I think Rocky is yanking everyone's chain. I can just see him laughing in his office at all the coverage over this crap.

Even if Rocky doesn't employ this strategy...it's gotten into our opponent's head thinking that we might do this...and taking away from their practice time to prepare for something that might not actually happen...Brilliant!!

I think he will go for it on 4th once and awhile but I think it's more about getting the opposition to think about more things that might happen in the game. It's kind of like that stupid "Swinging Gate" on extra points. Just one more thing for the other team to waste time practicing on.

That's two years in a row something Rocky says gets out to the national media. Last year was BSU's blue uniforms on blue turf.
Rocky isn't a stupid man, nor does he seem like a guy to do things like this on accident.
I wonder what he has cooked up for next year. lol

I use the one with both CBs blitzing. One of my good buddies does that same thing all the time of 4th downs. He still hasn't figured out the screen would beat this play. hahaha But, your CBs immediately blitz on that play and they start off the screen. So by the time he can react, his QB is about to take a hit. So it will be up to you to tackle his QB in the open field. But, when you get him, it's always a 5-7 yard loss.
