In something that only a few of us might find of interest, West Point named Army Football player Brandon Whittington as First Captain. The First Captain is the highest ranking cadet at USMA and reflects a cadet with outstanding academic and military accomplishments. Whittington is the DB for the Army team and follows other Army football players such as Pete Dawkins who also earned this post. The First Regimental commander is also a player on the Army team. www.goarmysports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/081012aab.htmlOn a related note, are there any discussions around honoring Ryan Morgan prior to the game? Ryan is the cadet from Ramona who died earlier this summer in a motorcycle accident. Since the Brigade Captain and at least one of the four Regimental Captains will be in attendance, this might be a special opportunity to remember Ryan. Edit: As an additional point of interest, both Cadet Whittington and Cadet Morgan attended the USMA Prep School prior to reporting to USMA.

They really do need to do something for Ryan Morgan. Do not drop the ball on this one, Athletic Department.
Maybe a short video tribute at the end of the first quarter would strike the appropriate note.

Having Army and Navy in the Big East adds a level of prestige to the conference like no other. Regardless of their record on the field they bring national exposure and class to the league. I am glad to have them.

We do have Navy in 2015 so I am half right which is a new record.
