If I'm not mistaken in the 3-3-5 the Aztec position is equivalent to a free safety, so Wright has the size to play it. He could also play one of the Warrior positions. Not the Warrior position that's the same as a strong safety where you need a guy with more beef and has to be a big hitter. They're the backfield guys who are most susceptible to injury since they have to take on the TEs.

If I remember correctly......Wright was rated the #8 RB in HS and was the #1 in Nevada.

Running Backs are usually the best athletes on the high school team. TCU has done a great job of converting running backs into star defensive players. I remember one of their star defensive linemen a couple years ago was a running back in high school. Get great athletes and teach them football.

Gotta love Brandon's attitude toward making the switch. Total TEAM player in my book.
Go Aztecs!

100% think they know about it. About 3% actually do. Problem is that everyone thinks they are part of the 3%. I'll admit right now I'm not one of the 3% you mention. However, since I readily admit that, you're incorrect that 100% of the board thinks they know a lot about football. Also, we've had some ADs who obviously knew even less than I do. So I hope you're not implying that because I'm not one of the 3% that I shouldn't be putting in my .02 here. Well I dont know if I l know "a lot" but I have coached a little and remain friends with several BCS coachs who talk alot of football with me. They all repect coach Long they also told me coach Hoke was a good one, when I was questioning the hire. Wright was offerd as a db by Cal and several other Pac Ten schools so he must have some abiliity.

This is TCU's approach. They've always had guys recruited as RBs on their defense. Miami did this in the 80s too. They went further to actually recruit LBs, they knew would be moved to the DL and Safeties to LB. We're not there...yet. But, it's great we're modeling successful ways to recruit when we don't have the advantage of star power.
