So finally signed up for this site and this is my first post. Just wanted to point out a few things in this article that just posted: www.mercurynews.com/news/ci_21256123/carrier-classic-could-become-multi-year-sc-event. _ Both carrier games are going to played Nov. 9. Can't both be shown on ESPN back-to-back? _ Mentions other teams are lined up for next two years (are we in line to play on the Midway in upcoming years?) _ 4,000 tickets available to the Carrier game, 500 being allocated to the public. I assume the same will be offered for the Midway game. Anyway glad to be on the boards.

Carrier Classic and Midway Classic are two separate promoters and organizers.
- The Midway Classic is already going to be broadcast on the FSN family of networks. fri 11/9 @4pm - No word on if SDSU is committed to future carrier games. I think the novelty is going to wear off with coaches if these events have weather or deployment problems. IMO the Midway has the most future potential and it would be great to see SDSU in the event every 2-3 years. - There will be very few to zero tickets available to the public.

Heartily agree. The better we get, the less we have to gain by rolling the dice playing out doors with possible wind and cold etc potentially giving a lesser team enough of an advantage to upset us. The better teams are now scheduling better teams early in the year so they can argue at the end of the season about their strength of schedules. We'll be in that mix, we just need to be a little patient. People still don't really know who we are or that we're going to be as good as we should be this year. Until we make more noise annually in March Madness we have no cred.
