Conference Champs Aztecs 18 > 15 UW Come to think of it...how bout this. The number of players drafted in the NFL over the past decade. SDSU 18 > 15 UW We would also win in the category of "former coaches and assistants who went on to be head coaches in the NFL": Coryell Maddden Gibbs Edwards Fox Payton Actually, I'd stack that list up against any schools similar list.

Actually Herm Edwards and John Fox were only players at SDSU, not coaches. However, you can add Ernie Zampese and Jim Hanifan to your list. And SB champ Brian Billick. Edit: Zampese was never an NFL head coach, but he was asst head coach for the Chargers and an extremely successful Offensive Coordinator in the NFL.

New rule of thumb for me: No posting after beer #5.... ;D Regardless, a fine list of graduates from "Coach-U"

I was going to avoid this topic, as 'trolling' isn't my thing. But after reading comments like this: What's really crazy about this thread is I didn't realize UDub had enough "Great Moments" in football to fill 3 minutes of video.....you learn something everyday. ... it is apparent to me that SDSU fans are trolling in this thread harder than any dawg fans. Some of you, some, are either purposely making up comments regarding Udub (which you don't actually believe); or some of you are extremely ignorant of college football if you truly believe the things you are saying. On a side note, one of you actually said the Seahawks have never been to a Superbowl? Really? LOL... no comment for you buddy (he must of started drinking early today haha). Back to Washington. Udub is at the top of the PAC12 conference with USC and UCLA for all-time accomplishments in the PAC. Obviously, this decade has had it's ups and downs for our program, but the fact remains the Washington Huskies have a proud and storied program. Here are a couple nice video clips any true college football fan would enjoy regardless of what team you support: 1992 Night Game, #12 Nebraska @ #2 Washington:1994 Whammy In Miami, Washington snaps Miami's NCAA Record 58 Game Home Winning Streak (watch for appearance by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson during his Cane football days, and Warren Sapp and the other canes of course):1985 Orange Bowl, Udub beats Oklahoma in famous "Boomer/Sooner Schooner Game": And Barry Switzer on game: www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0NOuti5LfU2000 Miami @ Washington: Dawgs beat a great/loaded Miami team & give them their only loss for the year:The BCS title game was not without controversy, as the system shut fourth-ranked Washington out of the championship game, despite being the only team who had beaten each #2 Miami and #5 Oregon State and having the same 10-1 record as #3 Florida State during the regular season. 10–1 Miami, who handed #3 Florida State their only loss, was ranked higher in both the AP Writers' Poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, and had the same record as the Seminoles, was also seen as a possible title contender. 2009, Sark's dawgs upset #3 USC in first year after the Tydebacle of 2008:2010, Huskies defeat Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl:2011, Soph. QB Keith "Teeth" Price shatters Washington school records:Quite simply, Price may have had the best season in school history in terms of the numbers he posted. He completed 242 of his 362 pass attempts for 3,063 yards, 33 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. When it comes to single-season records, the most well-documented marks broken by Price were single-season touchdowns (33), single-season completion percentage (.669) and single-season passing efficiency (161.9). He also set a season record for TD passes per game (2.54). www.gohuskies.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/061312aad.htmlSome other highlights of Washington Husky Football:The Washington Huskies have won 15 Pacific-10 Conference championships, seven Rose Bowl titles, and three national championships (1960,1984,1991).[1] The team has two of the nation's longest winning streaks, including an NCAA second-best of 39 wins in a row, holds the Division I-A unbeaten record at 63 consecutive games,[5] and has had a total of twelve unbeaten seasons, including seven perfect seasons.[6] From 1977 through 2003, Washington had 27 consecutive non-losing seasons—the most of any team in the Pac-12 and the 14th longest streak by an NCAA Division I-A team.[7] Washington is 2nd in the PAC12 behind only USC for all-time conference victories. Quarterback U: Washington is often referred to as one of the top Quarterback U's due to the long history of quarterbacks playing in the National Football League (NFL). All but two of the last 19 starting quarterbacks dating back to 1970 have gone on to the NFL, the most recent being Jake Locker, drafted eighth overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2011 NFL Draft. All-time record 668–416–50 (.611) Postseason bowl record 16–14–1 Claimed national titles 2 (1960, 1991)[1][2] Conference titles 15 (1916, 1919, 1925, 1936, 1959, 1960, 1963, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1995, 2000) Consensus All-Americans 20

What's really crazy about this thread is I didn't realize UDub had enough "Great Moments" in football to fill 3 minutes of video.....you learn something everyday. Winning 7 Rose Bowls, 1 Orange Bowl and 2 National Titles is surely some great moments. SDSU doesn't even have a major bowl appearance. Two national titles? When and where?

The Washington Huskies have won 15 Pacific-10 Conference championships, seven Rose Bowl titles, and three national championships (1960,1984,1991).[1] Claimed national titles 2 (1960, 1991)[1][2] So which is it? ? Two or three??? In actuality it is NONE. In 1960 Minnesota went 8-2 and was crowned national champ by AP and UPI (coaches). Missouri went 11-0 under Dan Devine and Ole Miss went 10-0-1 and won in the other polls. In 1984 BYU (13-0) was unanimously crowned champion by AP, UPI, USA Today/CNN. In 1991 12-0 Miami was national champions. Miami beat #10 Houston (40-10), #1 Florida State (17-16), #9 Penn St (26-20), and #11 Nebraska (22-0). Whereas the puppies only beat #9 Nebraska (36-21), #7 Cal (24-17), and #4 Michigan (34-14). Good luck maybe next time!

I thought this was a thread about the University of Wyoming.
Who gives a rat's arse about the cheatin', pac-fudge conference? Nobody with even half a brain would care about how many rosie bowels a collegiate team one. Everyone knows it was a monopoly game, exclusionary of all other teams except the pac-fudge and little boys of the big ten conference. DUH. If these two conferences had not excluded all other teams and included all other teams like San Diego State University, then the rosie bowel would have a bit a meaning to it.
Oh well, too bad this thread wasn't about the folks in larryme.
Hey, husker fan? Do you know what State Lararmie Wyoming is located in ?
I didn't think so.

The Rose Bowl is always one of my favorite bowl games to watch every year, and I am a huge SDSU fan. You might not enjoy watching great football, but I always loved seeing the Pac Ten champ play the Big Ten champ. They even broke tradition in 2011 to put TCU in the Rose Bowl, and it was an amazing game.

Come to think of it...how bout this. The number of players drafted in the NFL over the past decade. SDSU 18 > 15 UW We would also win in the category of "former coaches and assistants who went on to be head coaches in the NFL": Coryell Maddden Gibbs Edwards Fox Payton Actually, I'd stack that list up against any schools similar list. the head coaching thing is a bit misleading considering Don James was coach from 1974 until 1992. other coaches used the position at SDSU as a launching pad, James was perfectly content to stay in one spot. There is no argument about how great some of the coaches we did have at SDSU ended up being though.

as probably the only bi-partisan fan on this site (I grew up in Seattle and was a die hard Husky fan as a child but went to Graduate School at SDSU) I can honestly say that watching a game in Husky Stadium is by and large a far greater experience than watching any of the SDSU games at the Q. the stadium, partially because of it's location on the Lake and actually on campus, just has a vibe that the games at the Q don't seem to have. yes, Aztec games can be pretty exciting but the whole vibe just isn't the same.
I wish I could attend the game this year but it just isn't something I can do right now. but it will be exciting to watch.

New great moment in UW football: Discovery that instead of 3 NCs, they actually have .5 of them.

Wait a minute, I think I have my vote for greatest moment in UW football. Nov. 24, 1951 Huskies finish their woeful 3-6-1 season by losing to rival WSU. A little known UW DB hung up his cleats and started out on a coaching career that would take him to the college football hall of fame, changing forever the way the game is played…as the Aztecs Head Coach. Don Coryell preferred SDSU to UW.

I said that it was a great experience to watch games in Husky stadium and that I'd like to go to the game this year. I never said that I'd like to go to the game IN Husky Stadium this year. having said that, I'm betting that the vibe for a Husky game in the 'Hawks stadium will still be better than that of an Aztecs game in the Chargers stadium.

I never said that I'd like to go to the game IN Husky Stadium this year. it's as if you said you fully support gay marriage as one day you hope to be happily married...only to come back and say you never said you wanted to marry a dude. [seinfeld]not that there's anything wrong with that[/seinfeld]
