The shortage of physicians in the U.S. was already a problem before the Democrats decided that they would essentially overhaul the entire system of health care in this country. Now it will get worse. Main lesson: expanded health insurance coverage is good, but that is not the same as better health care quality. Interesting article! She did not even go into the idea that changing reimbursement rates and increasing work loads will further influence the number and quality of people choosing to become Doctors.
