Never going to happen on a full time basis but it would be fun to maybe have a few more throwback nights.
The Giants have orange Fridays and the Phillies have their cream colored unis for home day games. It would be cool for the Padres to do a similar gimmick with brown but they already do the camos for Sunday home games.

Thanks for the set up John! Love the camo, they wear them on Sundays when they invite the graduating Marines into the house. I have the green and brown (Hoffman) versions and plan on scoring a digital one. We appreciate the gesture, it means a lot. I hope the new owners continue it. Sent from my DROID RAZR using ProBoards

Yes! Brown should definetly be the primary color for the Padres. It can be a contemporary uniform that doesn't have to include mustard yellow or orange. My preference would be Brown & Sand. Another poster on a forum I lurk at came up with these uniforms a while back:

Great Sunday tradition. I wouldn't mind a Wednesday Brown and Gold. That is because I don't have tickets on Wednesdays.

The Padres are a soulless, identityless team.
Bringing back the brown would create something that we can claim as ours.
I don't even know what their colors are now. Dark blue and yellowishgrey?

Samurai, nice work on those. The only problem is what to do with 43,000 BLUE seats. Good point. How much do you think it would cost to repaint them? a few hundred thousand? WORTH IT

Those who like it in the brown, seem to be gaining more acceptance.
