After you read this, consider the fact that my wife and I own both a Prius AND an F-150! Go figure. I've got you beat. I own a F-150 and a bicycle. (the bike has more miles than the truck)

'98 Sentra. I drive it in the morning and my wife drives it in the afternoon. I do miss my '86 Nissan PU that was stolen about a dozen years ago and, to a lesser extent, my '84 Wagoneer that we took out to the desert.

Solara Convertable and Silverado 2500. Can't get myself to trade the truck for a little Toyota pickup even though I no longer need to pull an Airstream.

;)I drive a bright green, electric Smart car with a double bike rack...and yes the car has a spoiler, ta-boot. My better half drives a Sequoia with a ski and luggage rack, two spare tires, rear view gun rack, loaded, double passenger doors, full view movie and sound system, bullet proof windows, steel side cabinets, theatre seating that seats twelve passengers, fold out trumble bed, mini-bar, and cow catcher, front hood iron shield. Yes it gets four miles to the gallon. The law of averages came from beisbol. HAM

I love food stamps by-the-way. I just plunked down a box full and bought my brand new BMW 700 roadster!
Oh, for those of you who use the phrase, "zero-percent financing" to buy a $38,000 Chevy volt piece of scrap? Um, have you really ever thought about and calculated out the true cost of what you are doing, let alone the pollution created by the manufacturing of the piece of scrap Volt??"
1. "zero percent financing" is when they add the interest charges into the sales price.
2. You want to save $250 a month in gas costs, so you pay $900 a month on a piece of scrap Volt.
3. You are not aware of the present value cost of the future replacement battery.
4. That you are buying a new vehicle and that Govt Motors Crooks are wo-manufacturing a new vehicle adds more pollution in the killing of the ozone layer and our atmosphere. The mere production of one car is a big pollution factor.
5. You will freeze in the winter, and sweat in the summer when you are commuting to and from work, hoping the battery doesn't die before you get home.
6. Your home electric bill will increase $250 per month (see number 2. above).
I am calling up my insurance company to see if they take food stamps, ta-boot.

Yeah? What was the purchase price and the expected useful life?
Do you count car insurance, and the upcharge in your electric bill?
Once again, you know not of what you bought.

I see a new charging station over at the Oceanside Train Station. Does that cost or is someone subsidizing that station? If you lived up in North County, could you drive to the train station and then ride the train to work in San Diego? If the charging is free or reasonable, you could ride for free, a liberals dream. Dang me, I could not resist. $24 bucks seems like a real bargain and if it was a plug in hybrid, a nice choice.
