This might interest a few around here. "Consider this remarkable statistic: In 2010, Adrian Gonzalez hit 31 home runs, and not one of them came in Petco after 8 p.m. In his career as a Padre, Gonzalez averaged a home run every 15 at-bats on the road and one every 24.7 at-bats in Petco." "However, the Adams-Ludwick-Headley fracas provides greater context to the discussion taking place in San Diego. There's little doubt it could help explain the words of Padres general manager Josh Byrnes. Over the course of advocating for shorter fences, he told the San Diego Union-Tribune, "I think Petco Park leaves a scar with some players." espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/page/keown-120510/giancarlo-stanton-angst-marlins-park-fences-illustrates-ongoing-discord-ballpark-dimensions

Headley strongly denies there was any mention of any players by name by Adams. Here is another interesting stat for those who think moving fences with make much of a difference: Twice in Petco era the Padres have led the NL in doubles+triples on the road in years that they were last in doubles+triples at home. Padres need to juice the balls.
