The author does not really offer much in the way of remedies, but there is no doubt that he has set described the really troubling effects of long-term unemployment on the individual worker and on the nation as a whole. Enforce the rules. The weekly claims forms are not being audited by the State of California. The rule that if you collect unemployment, you are also required to look for a job is not being enforced. Lazy government.
