When going over this piece for a quote-able line or paragraph to stimulate conversation, I was struck with how important it is for all thinking and caring Californians to read this in its entirety and take it to heart. We should all think about this and what we can do in November to try to turn the direction of California back toward prosperity:
Should the nation as a whole decide to join California in its mission, it might prolong the life in California, but the end result must inevitably be collapse. We are on a unsustainable path.
I urge all to read this.

North Dakota is a shithole with fossil fuels, not any sort of utopia.

Twenty years ago it was all about the bi-coastal economys. The Plains states were losing population. Now it is the opposite. Twenty years from now we have no idea. We may see North Dakota as our next toxic waste area, as it is so polluted anyway, California once again the land of milk and honey.

North Dakota is a shithole with fossil fuels, not any sort of utopia. It also has jobs and a future.

ND being a toxic waste dump, unclear. For that I will wait to see.

Since the state is run by conservatives the cycle will be exaggerated. This is not the first energy cycle is the region. I made the comment about toxic waste dump because I am unsure of the long term affect of fracking. There may be unrecognized downstream costs. If it affects the water table that will be especially bad. People do not seem to recognize that water is far more valuable than oil.

California might come back if the Democrats are replaced with responsible adults in Sacramento and the economy rebounds as a result. We are teetering on the brink as of now and it is getting worse. It is likely that huge portions of California will be laid waste by the lawless mobs that have been created by Sacramento (and Washington). Mobs dependent on tax payers for a living and getting unruly when we will try to return them to productive members of society. This is far more dangerous than any fracking which would be stopped at the early signs of any real water problems. Seems like if we can have technology that makes "toilet to tap" ideas feasible we could clean up water should it be affected as well.

Lawless mobs will be no problem for you, you live in a gated golf course community. ;D
