This is a no brainer, he will pick us over Penn. Not the no brainer you think it is. An Ivy League education is tough to turn down.

Penn and SDSU are great business schools. Brian Russell transferred from Penn and did great things here and in the NFL. Biegel probably felt homesick after he got the offer from Penn, great timing on our part to move in and offer.

But, but, we offered him so late - isnt that dirty and underhanded... welcome to the big time - recruiting is a competition just like everything else.

I thought Ivy League schools did not provide full athletic scholarships. I could be wrong about that. Also, talking about the difference in business schools is not fair when we are only talking undergrad at this point. A graduate of SDSU can get into to Wharton, it isn't outside the realm of possibility.

But I believe, they offer partial scholarships. I assume that student-athletes that go and play for any of the Ivies are not pro-league career oriented. They don't participate in off-season training and post-season play either.

It will get him in the door in pretty much any business he wants to go into - including wall st. SDSU cannot get him a job on wall st. I'm not knocking SDSU, as my undergrad is from the business school and I thought it was a great education. But I got my MBA from an ivy league school and the difference in contacts, job opportunities, alumni, etc is night and day. If he goes to Penn he can still make the NFL if he is good enough.
