God only knows how it remained in my possession, but I just found a 1991 Aztec football ticket that has a curious feature. This is the ticket for the game against Long Beach State, Sept. 8th, 1991. What is strange is that it's scheduled for a SUNDAY!
Now, obviously I attended the game. (Beginning with 1989 or '90 I have a streak of attending all home games except the Nevada game from the '90s.) Beyond that I have no specific memory of the game. What I want to know is this: Why was it on a Sunday, and has S.D.S.U. played FB on a Sunday other than that time in 1991?
(The Aztecs won the game 49-13.)

(The Aztecs won the game 49-13.) AzWm Given the date, my guess would be some sort of conflict with the Padres, but I'm not sure. Just ran through some of my old tickets. I have this heavy army coat that I used to wear to games - was given to me by a friend who was a vet around '71 - when it was too warm, to wear the coat, I'd come home with the ticket and stick in a pocket. Just going through the tickets in one pocket, the oldest I found was a New Mexico State game in '75, but I discovered I have two tickets to the FSU game in '77 and I still have all the tickets from the Holiday Bowl for the years I attended, which would have been from the first one until '85 (and it still pisses me off that I canceled in '86). =Bob |

I know in the 70s when I was in the Marching Aztecs we had a home game against Arkansas State on a Sunday.
