hah! FLoyd now calling him out!? It would have been better when both were in their prime; too bad both were afraid of losing.

I don't believe either was "afraid", pod.

Finally, time for the Pac Man to be put out to pasture.

Finally, time for the Pac Man to be put out to pasture. I disagree. I was not suggesting either was "afraid" of the other, just that they were afraid of "losing" their unblemished record. Nobody wants to fight somebody when the end result would be in question; that is unless they're crazy.

Nobody wants to fight somebody when the end result would be in question; that is unless they're crazy. The end result is always in question in a fight. It takes ONE punch, dude. Really. There are fifty million reasons why each WILL sign and take this fight. It will happen before 2012 is out, watch and see, though likely in November (my guess). Manny doesn't have an unblemished record. He has lost three times, and has two draws I believe. He lost as recently as 6 or 7 years ago to Erik Morales, though avenged the loss. Floyd covets his 42-0 record, but also covets Benjamins, and will not pass on the opportunity to make the rumored $50MM or so he has coming. A close and competitive fight guarantees a rich rematch as well. Fans don't care about "blemished" records if you ask me. The Golden Boy lost plenty in his latter stages, but kept his status as a PPV king. While Floyd would hate to lose his "0", I don't think boxing fans would look at him in any less of a light, unless he got pummeled, and that won't happen.

He's gotta get his street cred up before he's off to the pokey.

Not just the split but Bob Arum is being a douche. He knows Floyd needs the money and doesn't want to budge on the fight date. SMH.....Manny needs to tell Bob to f*ck off and get a deal done.

I think Floyd is posturing on the 50/50. I'll say this...if he's being serious and won't agree to 50/50 then he is ducking the fight. No way Pacquiao will, or SHOULD, agree to anything less. Floyd even knows that's not reasonable. Or should.
This just wasn't happening May 5. Floyd Mayweather is set on that date, and Arum & Pac Man are set they should fight next May 26 or June 9.
If this fight ever happens, it will happen this coming November. I'll agree with Arum on that much.
