Well, since nobody responded, 'll offer a couple comments. First, the Christian Right constantly complains about the war on Christmas, but my guess is they buy into the commercialism as much as the rest of us and if they believed Christmas was just a religious holiday, they wouldn't be at the malls buying their kids presents. Second, most religions don't have the same sort of symbols that Christianity has and considering how overwhelmingly Christian this country is, it ain't likely we'd see any other religious symbols displayed on government property, And third, who in the Hell cares? As a human being I'm flawed as we all are, but I try to follow what the Methodist Church taught me and I don't need Nativity scenes to remind me of those teachings; I hear them in my head most every day - 12 years of church and Sunday school, 4 years of summer Bible school. 3 0f them Mennonite and one of them Baptist, BTW, and 4 years of church camp does that for you. =Bob

In any case, I wish you a Merry Christmas regardless of your personal beliefs. Stanley is allegedly a historian of the US. He did a blog on the Confederate Heritage issue and refereed to the Confederate Flag(battle Flag of Northern Virginia aka Southern Cross) as the Stars and bars about ten times. the stars and Bars are the first national flag which had stripes and a circle of stars in the corner,so similar to the union flag they changed it.nI wonder if they still fly the Union John in England. What an idiot.

I think it's funny people get mad at others for being offended when they tell others they don't celebrate Christmas. Yet, those mad people are the same ones crying about their cultural values being stomped on. Pesonally, I'm not religious so this isn't anything but a family day for me. It isn't even Christ's real birthday. The f x x x are Christians even celebrating? lol
