Went to Sweet Lou's BBQ on la Jolla blvd many times before he shut it down. Really cool place. Great guy.

First off, it's LEW Bush.......as in Lewis, and Sweet Lew.
Good guy, though. He was missed around Chargers Park after he retired. Sweet Lew's BBQ was kind of a dream of his, and he loved it!
He was certainly one of the good ones. He will be sorely missed.

That is so weird. A year or two ago I met Lew at a Vista Panther football game. He was doing color commentary for a cable broadcast of the game.
He seemed like a pretty nice guy - still a little bitter over how he left the team, though (he wasn't asking for astronomical money, and he wanted to stay with the Chargers). I thought he was older than me, but as it turns out he was a year younger.
It's hard to believe that he's dead.
