Walked up to the Normal Heights Farmer's Market last night (yum, cheese curd) and noticed there were two adult kickball teams playing at Adams Ave. Rec. Didn't realize they were around. There's apparently an association that runs them - they had an ump, lined base paths and such - and both teams had T-Shirt "uniforms". Anyway, if anyone is looking to replay their youth, here's the link: www.govavi.com/kickball=Bob

My knees are shot. As I told you many a time, if I had a dollar for every stupid thing I did as a younger man, I would be very very rich. I tore my knees and to a lesser degree my ankles up by foolishly jogging five and six miles every day when I was in my thirties. I don't remember any doctor warning me about the Cartilige damage such exercise could bring, but they should have warned me.
That damage makes it very painful to walk around in my sixties. I know I have posted about this twenty to thirty times in the past, but if there are any men out there who think they can stay in shape by jogging on concrete or asphalt, Please FIND another form of exercise. You will only understand why years later.
Any hard impact sport can cause damage. Stick to riding bicycles, swimming or hiking in good hiking shoes.
Do no jog!
Do not engage in sports that have a high impact on the ankles and knees or hips.
