I have had the opportunity to study under some of the best teachers of Biblical Eschatology (prophecy as regards the End of Days and the End Times). One of those teachers was Tim LaHaye at Scott Memorial Baptist Church in San Diego.
Since almost all of the Biblical Prophecies have come true, this final episode in the Earth's history unfolding has some interest to me and hopefully others.
Frequently people have asked me who I think Magog is, since Magog and their leader Gog play such a vital role in the Last Days.
I am a firm believer that Magog (who was the grandson of Noah in the bible) are the people who are still living in the area identified by the historian Josephus. He said they were the Scythians, a people who lived just north of Modern Day Turkey, extending as far north as the Ural Mountains and as far east as China. As best as we can tell, they became the modern Turkic people of today.
I believe the AntiChrist will be the President of Turkey a land that has 10 previous Roman Provinces incorporated within it. Notice that the Bible clearly says that the AntiChrist will attack out of the north of Israel (out of Turkey).

Seems reasonable Joe. Turkey is a hotbed of Islamic crazies, and it's a shame considering the wonderful history in the area which goes back long before that Mohammad character. Turkey is now trying to Trojan-horse its way into the EU.

I take it that means that you believe in the inherent word of the Bible and reject evolutionary theory, given that LaHaye rejects it and started his bull$#!+ Creationist Museum in Klantee. I mean really - you want to claim LaHaye, a total and complete idiot, is one of the best teachers of Biblical Eschatology? How stupid is that? I guess you also agree with Beverly LaHaye that a woman's place is to be subservient to her male partner. Yup, bet your wife allows you to believe in that. My goodness, you really are a fool. =Bob

There is no way the man is an idiot as you like to label people all of the time. He is a very intelligent person who has done a great work in his life. My wife's place is to be subservient to me. Remember, that is German Culture. My wife and my children totally obey me as I am the master of my house. That is the culture that I have been exposed to all of my life, and I am not going to change. It does not matte what religion teaches. What is this about inheriting the word of the Bible? I have explained to you several hundred times that I do not know for certain what I believe. I accept the Gospel, but do not debate the specifics of it because I don't believe that is necessary. You either believe that by accepting God, he accepts you or you do not. By acknowledging His symbolic sacrifice on the cross we are forgiven of our sins. I did a hell of a lot of sinning when I was a sailor. In 1974, seven years after I graduated from High School and had one year of college, I asked God to forgive me my sins. All hell broke loose in heaven when that happened. I have been told that they had the biggest celebration since Emperor Constantine asked God into his life and established Christianity in the Roman Empire. Very rarely do Great Men like me or Constantine ask God into our lives. When it comes to inheriting that Bible, I am pretty much persuaded that Genesis and Exodus is a collection of the stories that were passed around throughout the middle east three thousand years ago. The reason why they are in the Bible is to show the relationship between God and man. Man, quite frankly is far short of the glory of God. Our self serving, selfish and and other faults separate us from God and tend to make us hate God. You will see that in people's posts who get nasty like you do whenever somebody mentions obedience to God. You can not stand the concept and that is the reason why you say preachers like LaHaye are idiots. We know where you stand. I stand, convinced that I was a sinner redeemed by the grace of God. Now, as regards the prophecies in the Bible, they start in Genesis and continue all the way through. Almost all of them have come true. The only thing that remains to be fulfilled are the last seven years of the Earth. Boy is that going to be exciting for you and all of the people who do not know God.

Damn; and yet you claim he is one of the best teachers of Biblical Eschatology (prophecy as regards the End of Days and the End Times) How is it that you can claim you studied under him but reject what he taught you? Is a mentor someone who teaches you what he believes and you accept it? And if you don't accept what your mentor has taught you, why are you claiming that he's and "expert in the field"? Clearly, if you don't accept what he taught you, he's a rather crappy mentor (not that I believe for a moment that you actually know LaHaye - you have a really bad penchant of tossing out names to impress people instead of actually offering anything of value). Again, LWSP. =Bob
