Moore is arguably the best QB in the country right now. Completing about 80% of his passes. Wow!

I will give him props for all the records he holds and will hold but I have never been a fan. Too many bone head decisions and I think the quality of receivers has padded his stats. I recall the first half of the Colorado State game last year as being one of the worst QB performances I have ever witnessed.

There is no question San Diego has some of the worst "bandwagon fans" in the nation. One week a player or team is god, and the next week, the team or player has always sucked and needs to go. It's pretty pathetic, really.
All I know is that Lindley, his talent and his leadership, has helped bring SDSU to heights that we have not seen in a long time. I cannot thank the dude enough for his contributions and I look forward to seeing him move on from a bad game and "tear it up" in conference play.
I also look forward to seeing him play on Sundays, because it will happen.

We just went from Jack Hawley, to Lon Sheriff, to Adam Hall, back to Lon Sherriff, back to Adam Hall, to Matt Dlugolecki, to Kevin O'Connell, to Darren Mougey, to Kevin Craft, and back to Kevin O'Connell. None of those guys beat a Pac-12 team. None of those guys threw 20 touchdown passes in a season. None of those guys had a winning season. None of those guys reached or won a bowl game. Ryan Lindley has done all those things, and yet people here piss all over him because ... why? He didn't beat Michigan at the Big House? He's not the best quarterback in the conference? I never realized that was the standard our illustrious history demanded. Cripes.

though Moore lacks the "NFL" arm, he is one of the best college QBs of his generation. Just look at his Won loss record. Look at his record in big games. Look at the touch he has on his passes. His accomplishments are not dictated by the quality of his receivers, he is as consistent and accurate as they come. He rises to the occasion. He doesnt need to make excuses after a loss, because he doesn't lose.

Lindley needs to step his game up in conference play because we need him at his best to have the best chance of winning the MWC Championship. Comparing his QB Rating to Moore's has nothing to do with that other than statistical comparison.
WSU's Lobster had a higher QB Rating than Lindley, and that didn't mean squat regarding the outcome of the game.

Here was my version : Sept 24, 2011, 10:49am, Draztec wrote:Lindley was TERRIBLE!!! Here is my response: After reading several threads about how horrible, terrible Lindley is I have to say you are some of the same people who kiss his ass after he has a great game. Your either on board with Lindley or not. Some of you people remind me of those assholes who get in fights at sporting events and keep kicking the guy in the head when he's already knocked out. If he's terrible or not he is the starting QB and will be the rest of the season. He is human and will have a bad game as ever one does, unfortunately it was against Michigan and his former coach. As for the officiating, at first I thought they were biased but when you watch the replays of the holding time after time you can see they were not. I will admit Lindley gets squeamish when he has a rush on him and hurries his throws. We just have to find a way to give him more time. Next season we will have a more mobile QB in Jeffries and Dingwall. We all need to move on from this and stop with the negative comments. This is an open blog and I understand you have a right to your opinion, but don't you think the one person who knows and wishes he could do it over again is Lindley ?

Lindley is not terrible. He's not perfect, but not terrible... What he is is a heck of a leader and committed beyond what he gets credit for. He's pretty much seen this program at its lowest and has helped win the first bowl game here since when??? He deserves some respect for staying committed. I believe whatever he does in the future he will represent this University with class and dignity.
As for the fan support, I think it's more of a southern California thang and not just SD. SD has great fans it's just that there are just so many other things to do here if our teams aren't winning. Lakers, SC, State, Charger's fan....take your pick.
I do like to the passion and critiques recently posted. I think they are a result of fans starting to care again. Yes some fans are boneheads but ppl are coming back to the games that haven't in a long time. The future is bright for SDSU football. GO AZTECS!!!

Excellent points, not to mention, Lindley at Michigan faced his former coach and OC who designed a defense to minimize his strengths and rush all over his weaknesses. Before the season is over, Lindley will again show his stuff especially when those receivers run shaper patterns and hang onto the balls!

Please don't lay all the pressure on Ryan. he already has taken so much on his shoulders. The entire team must play better than they did in that mess last weekend.

Hall, and that kicker (from San Pasqual I think), who was in my Grad History class.

Uhmmmm, Lindley. Who else? I didn't know if BSU played CSU last year. The thread is about both QB's and the post didn't mention either. Any QB can have a crap half, and I bet Moore has actually had one. For all I knew he had one against CSU last year. It was a reasonable question, no?
