The UM game is over. Time to move forward. We have a great team and a great coaching staff. We got beat today. Time to focus on our next opponent. If we allow UM to beat us again the I will change my opinion of our coaching staff.

I like getting a million dollars from Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Notre Dame but we are basically selling them a game. I'd much rather have a more beatable team scheduled and save those schools for bowl games. But that's just me.

We need these kind of games to see where we are and how far we have to go. This game showed we need a tweak, not an overhaul. IMO the correction is more mental, than physical.

We open at Washington next year in our new QB's first game. Another big money game that we will have a great deal of difficulty winning if we play like today. Can you run down there and put sardines in the Huskies drinking water before the game to sort of even things up?

Well if I could it would be herring! I think Metamucil in their Gatorade would work much better! ;D

They're very good at developing freshmen QBs.

A great team and a great coaching staff? ? I think we have a good team and a good coaching staff. If we had beat Michigan then I MIGHT agree.......but we didn't and never made this a game. Let's see how we progress in the Conference and that will be a challenge. If we play TCU l ike we played today then we will be cleaned and then become a pretender.

We should always take a body bag game not just for the money but for the measuring stick.
Any of us that have been on a real good team, particularly football, know how good these games can sometimes be: a non-conf. smack in the face can bring you back to earth and remind you of what you need to work on. Rocky was disgusted with the tuesday practice, and now you can see why. We weren't going to win a national title, so getting smacked in the face should hopefully circle the wagons and lead to half a dozen good practices the next two weeks to prepare for the most important 2 game stretch of the season. If there isn't intensity after this, then we're in trouble.

Yes, for years we’ve needed money and probably still do. But playing these games for a big pay day is like recruiting JC players. Sure it helps the bleeding but it doesn’t solve the problem. We now have a strong foundation and moving forward we need to change our scheduling approach. We need to now put in a long term plan and not a short term fix.
We need these games for measuring sticks? We are 0-15 against BYU, Utah and TCU the last 5 years. Do we need to lose to a historically Top 25 BCS team when we can't beat the top teams in our league?
Let’s start beating teams in our league and the lower level BCS teams before we start raising the bar. The Michigan game was needed for money which everyone knew. Telling someone we needed the money was like telling someone the earth is round. I just want to start building something and not continue down the same path. It’s time we change our approach. Instead of having these games every year or every other can we at least make it every 3 or 4?

You donot build a program from the depths of depravity by scheduling teams that you know should beat you. If you want to schedule the Michigans or Alabamas of the world, do it after you have had several years of success.
