When do you think the defense will show up? This game is turning into an embarrassment. We are getting pushed around .

We're small so that's expected.
I'm more disappointed with the Oline. They're the ones getting pushed around and there's no weight imbalance. Lindley's now getting happy feet. There are no excuses.

Big and fast is beating small and fast(O & D lines). Maybe we would consider DE's in the 6-5, 270 range.
Not just defense though, Lindley ? Anyone seen a TE? Kicking game?
Michigan gets the ball to start the 2nd half. This really doesn't look good.

Coach Funk is a really good coach. He was a good coach at SDSU, he's a good coach at Michigan.
You can see why.

Seems like the defense was respectable the second half. Offense? This has to be one of our worst offensive showings in a couple of years. Yes, Michigan had something to do with that but... Has anyone seen or heard from Alston Umuolo?

Yep, defense looked good in the 2nd half, that's about how I expected them to play this game....fly around, make big hits, contain Denard. Just couldn't contain Denard in that first half and, really, there's not a whole lot of shame in that. He's done that to just about everybody that UM has played.

Has anyone seen or heard from Alston Umuolo? Umuolo has yet to make a real appearance in the passing game. Do not know why but for the Aztecs to really be good, he must be a factor in the passing game.

We have played 4 games and our defense has given up at least 20 points in each of these games.........that is not a recipe for success this season.

Darrien Barret and the kid from Kearney could easily be that size. just need a couple years in the weight room. Also Sam Meredith in two years.

Giving up 28 to Michigan with multiple turnovers isn't horrible. Denard Robinson is one of the best offensive tools in the country.
Our offense is who didn't get it done today.

This is so obvious that the fact some don't get it just shows their ignorance. Michigan was a 10-point favorite going in and the over/under was 57. Put them together and the experts were predicting Michigan would win by about 34-24. In other words, as far as the experts were concerned, our defense played about as well as expected, even a bit better. However, the offense was more than two TDs inferior to what was expected.

The frustrating part is that the offense had plenty of chances, but just couldn't cash in. Let's face it, we've gotten by with virtually no experience and depth at WR. It caught up with us today, no pun intended. The passing game was off and there have been too many drops. It just hasn't bit us in the ass until now.

Ron, consider this.
Rocky said as early as spring camp that he was worried about our wide receiver depth. The usual suspects said on the board that everything would be fine, that Rocky was simply using a motivational tactic. They still said that after Nico Sandifer got hurt and was declared out for the season. Well, I think Rocky was publicly voicing what Andy Ludwig was telling him privately.
What's our BIGGEST problem? Wideout recruits from the 2009 and 2010 classes, none of whom were Ludwig's guys, of course. Here are the lists:
2009
Brandon Chambers Marven Jones Preston King Osmond Nicholas
2010
David Lamar Ezell Ruffin Jay Waddell
Waddell is out for the year with an injury and King had to quit football prematurely because of a heart condition so no blame can be attached to them. However, at Wide Receiver U we apparently went 0-5 with the rest of the recruits from those two classes. That's just unacceptable and it's really hurting us now.

Lockett will be a good receiver and Denso is a solid possesion guy. Too bad Lockett will come into his own after Lindley is gone. Too many drops and critical penalties today.

Pretty simple. Amazing some don't get.
