Nobody can say that sober voices were not raised in opposition to the Rube Goldberg contraption foisted on the American health care system by the Obama administration. The sad part about this is that really sensible changes could have been made without trying to overhaul our entire system of health care. What we have, de facto though not de jure, is a federal takeover of health care in this country. That would not be so bad if the plan were well thought out. This one was not well thought out. Please read this and try not to shed too many tears. I'll understand if you feel forced to cry. www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2010/07/19/obamacares_future_foretold_106358.htmlAzWm

William, all it is is a foot in the door to universal socialized medicine.
This present system leaves a hell of a lot to be desired, but once the people get the benefits, there is no way that they are going to be done away with.
Hence, from Obama's perspective, any socialized medical program is good. Improved Socialized Medicine is far better. A massive full blown and expansive and expensive medical care program for all is the ideal.
THAT is coming!
Amen.

I feel that it is much more likely that we will see some kind of "Repeal and Replace".

Joe, what is coming is very draconian rationing, which is the only way the Dems can figure out how to avoid national bankruptcy brought about by ObamaCare. Please come up to speed by consulting the threads already introduced in this section by me and others. AzWm

We have enough people with common sense to see that what we are doing is rationing rather than improving health care. It all may be heard by the SCOTUS and be ruled unconstitutional anyway.

He has only a hundred or so days till the election and a lame duck sesion of Congress for a justice or two to step aside.

AzWm Since I know that the FED can forgive us out debts as we forgive our debtors, I am not worried about rationing. We need to learn to spend for the pure joy of it. My wife knows all about that.
