One of the first big moves of the free agency section of the off season goes to the Chargers for getting some help at ILB. This is a better signing than Bob Sanders, because Spikes doesn't have the same injury history. Good Sign! However, the charger's have had recent struggles going after LB's in free agency who were passed their prime and that didnt contribute the way they should have (Derek Smith). If Sanders can stay healthy which is a big IF I would have to disagree and say he would be a more significant impact.

Both guys add the toughness and leadership this group needs. Everybody knows that Norv has softened this team up so these two pickups are both stellar.
