Got it. You can do whatever statistical analysis you want. Just know that they are completely invalid. It is not "completely invalid". It shows what it shows. Just because it doesn't reveal some overall truth you are seeking doesn't mean it doesn't reveal some smaller truth that the larger truths consist of. Then why do you flood the padres message board with thread after thread and post after post of "smaller" truths? The overall truth is the Padres have a bad offense and have been bad offensively this year. You want us to focus on data that eliminates half of the games on the schedule or in your most recent case 90% of the season. Smaller truths be damned. The big picture is the Padres have a bad offense.

You might as well leave now, since you have no curiosity about why and how the overall truth exists or if things have changed. Only looking at the overall truth and ignoring the pieces of "the truth" is how you come to conclusions like the Aztecs basketball team is plateauing. Observing what is happening now with the Padres to "see" what will happen in the future requires more than knowing they are 11 games below .500. How do you know when things change? During August the Padres have had the best offense in all of baseball. Post All-Star game the Padres have scored more runs per game than any NL team. When you determine to wear a jacket or not, do you look at the average temperature for winter or the current temperature outside? Things have changed. It won't mean much for this season but it is a good sign for next year.
