There is just no way we should not have taken KaGoofy out by now with little or no expense. Had he acted at once, Obama could have put a second straight Commander-In-Chief feather in his cap to add to the bin Laden success. He had it right there in his hand. He could have moved decisively several months ago, even if it meant sending in a couple thousand Marines (in addition to serious naval and land-based air power) to topple the Q-ball. The latter was really shaky then, but Obama's dithering gave the bastard time to get organized. He could have said, as we did in the Grenada incident, that our troops were going in to "protect American lives." Hell, there must have been a dozen or so Americans in Tripoli who could have served the purpose. This remind me of 1941 and early '42 when Hitler, had he sent Rommel two or three more divisions, could have taken Egypt and cut off the Suez Canal. Instead, he dithered and failed to see the obvious opportunity there for the taking. In the same way, it seems that Obama never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. You need to know when it's time to roll the dice. Instead, Obama waits and waits, then rolls just one die so as not to seem imprudent! AzWm

Everyone on this forum is missing the reality and that is that expecting a democracy out of chaos is ludicrous. It may take a few years, but eventually Libya will end up under the control of a dictator.
True Democracy in Islamic Countries is not possible. The religion sets up the demand for a Caliphate.
