As am I, if I can convince some buddies to make the trek. Have you seen the rest of the rumored card, Josh? Rampage vs. Machida and the winner of Silva/Sonnen against Vitor Belfort...oh my.

Wow, sounds like heck of a card. Though, they owe us one with the trash they call a card for UFC 117. There's no reason why that kind of card shouldn't be the standard product they put out.

That 117 card looks like $#!+! lol I am intrigued by Roy Nelson vs. Dos Santos, but thats about it. That one could be a snoozer though as both can wrestle, and it may be on the ground a lot. I'll never order a PPV headlined by Spider Silva. I learned my lesson like I did in boxing matches involving Bernard Hopkins years ago. Zzzzzzz.

Wow, you guys think 117 is a weak card? I think it's an awesome card. Silva vs. Sonnen may not be a barnburner, but I think it's guaranteed to be better than Anderson's last fight. Fitch and Alves should be a WAR. Thiago is finally healthy and Fitch will not be able to lay on him for 3 rounds. Hughes and Almeida could be a bit of a bore, but I like Almeida, and the storyline is intriguing as Almeida is a Gracie black belt and Hughes is known as the "Gracie Killer" in some circles. And how can you not like Clay Guida? He would make a fight with a wet paper bag look good. I couldn't disagree more. Dos Santos will KO Nelson. He's a future champion. Thiago Silva on the undercard, Stefan Struve on the undercard....the only thing that's a negative is that it will be hard to live up to the last card...which was EPIC.

But I don't mind. I guess you can't have blockbusters every month. Personally, I couldn't care less because I can pay $5 at the local pub to watch any one of them, and $12.99 for a bucket of 5 bud bottles. ;D Roy Nelson is a douche, but he can fight. He has a ton of experience. It won't be a walk in the park for Dos Santos, but I expect he wins. Not a fan of Silva. At all. They should have me and K5 on the undercard. That would sell some PPVs.

I think you are really underselling this card. Potential card of the year, IMO. The worst card on the horizon is UFC 120, thank god it's being shown for free on Spike. Bisping vs. Akiyama as a main event?

Well that card was SUPPOSED to be on PPV, but I think it came as a present from Dana White, because he apologized so profusely for 112's horrendous showing in Abu Dhabi with the Anderson Silva dance routine. I think he was compelled to make it a free card.

Bisping vs. Akiyama as a main event? I agree I think 117 is a great card from top to bottom: Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen - Like Forest, Chael will push the action and either take Anderson down or get KO'd doing it. Thiago Alves vs. Jon Fitch - #2 and #3 WW in the world fighting for another shot at the title. Rafael dos Anjos vs. Clay Guida - Have you ever watched an unexciting Clay Guida fight? Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Hughes - Huges gets tested against a legit WW to see if he still has something left in the tank. Junior Dos Santos vs. Roy Nelson - #1 contender fight for the HW division This card has a title fight, 2 #1 contender fights, a UFC Hall-of-famer and a dude on crack (Guida) all on it I'm not sure how you can call it a lack-luster card. UFC 119 is shaping up to be a rather sub-par card (at least for a PPV card) IMO.

119 has both Lil Nog and Big Nog on the card....I'm excited to see Bader vs. Lil Nog and hopefully to see Big Nog smash Mir because everyone in their right mind knows the first fight was not the real Nog.

Meh I'm not as intrigued by either Nog fight... Lil Nog looked horrible in his fight and really the only UFC fight Big Nog has looked good in was against Couture. There are no fights with title implications anywhere on this card and the two fighters in the main event are both coming off losses.

Since Shogun Rua is out until March with his knee injury, any word on replacements for Rashad Evans? If they're going to put Rampage-Machida (still just a rumor, Ryan) on the Lesnar-Velasquez card....why not make it a super card and have Rashad take on Jon Jones? Jon Jones is a beast! And not just because he has a double J name. Rashad has already beaten all the other top light heavies out there, except Machida.....and he has already said in interviews he has no desire to fight Machida for an interim title in Rua's absence. But is he just going to chill until next year? Get him in the ring! If fans are going to pay $55, they want to see top cards. Not recycled garbage. I do kind of like UFC 199 though greysuit..Evan Dunham is a top up and coming LW, and I look forward to seeing him battle Sherk. Serra has lost like 3 of his last 6, and is on his way downhill, but hey, put him in with a warrior like Lytle (who is not a great fighter, but an exciting one) and there could be some fireworks. That being said, it's a card I'd pay $5 for at the bar, not $55 at home. Could care less about the Nogueira-Mir rematch. Personally, I am sick of Frank Mir. Instead of Mitrione-Beltran on that card, they should have Mitrione fight Mir, and if Mir loses, he has to retire that night. I said it....the old WWF style "retirement match", lol.

Ryan, i also was reading that Rampage is not interested in fighting Machida saying it would be "boring" and prefers a rematch with Griffin instead.
Either way, I hope he's on the 121 card. I like Rampage.

The UFC has said they are going to take Jones along slowly since he is only 22 so I doubt they will match him up against Evans. Rashad vs Forrest II would be a great match up for that card (not sure if Forest will be ready by then though).

No way Jones gets that big of a fight this early...he IS the future of the LHW division. They want to market the hell out of him and will take him along slowly. I expect a Thiago Silva type fight for him early next year. He's about a year away from a title shot, but he is my favorite fighter without a doubt to watch. That's why I got tickets for the event here in a few weeks.
