Will Obama adjust his strategy in time?

Barack Obama has hit a bumpy stretch of road rather early in his term. What should he do to regain his momentum and will he make those changes in time?

Seems like Obama is in the problematic situation of "between a rock and a hard place". If he does what he must to get some GOP support he will lose the far left that really elected him. If he continues his present path he will lose that large slice of moderates that also helped him to get elected. Health care is not his only issue where he has this dilemma.
