This is the second article to appear recently wondering whether Obama is a weak President. I'm wondering the same thing, though I suppose that citizens who hold political views quite different from mine might define strenght or weakness, success or failure, differently. (To be specific, when it comes to radically expanding the power of government, which has the inevitable byproduct of radically reducing the freedoms enjoyed by average citizens, I damned well hope he fails like two buck umbrella in a hurricane.) www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/08/21/AR2009082102309.htmlAzWm

Frac says "ditto"! I don't think that a day goes by that I don't find another reason for opposing Obama on just about every front. Even his supporters see his "weakness", but in a different ways. They see his lack of resolve and direction in trying to get his campaign promises in place. I think that most are now wondering why the attempt to spend all this money on health care when simple tinkering step by step would cost little and yield huge dividends. At the same time Obama has lost his way on trying to fix the economy. Both the Bush Tarp and the Obama Stimulus have done very little other than keep marginal companies afloat that may have been better left to fail and spend huge amounts (although still only a fraction of what is authorized) of money to things that add nothing in terms of the economy or jobs. It would be just great for the country if Obama could give us the leadership needed to turn things around, but he has not shown any such thing so we need to be very clear that early recognition of Obama's weakness and lack of vision are evident and valid reasons to work early for his parties defeat in 2010 and his defeat in 2012.
