Looks nice but the 50-yard-line seats are awfully far from the field. It's like the old multi purpose stadiums from the 60s. Needs to be more of an oval or rectangular design for football. Also, it's smack dab where I park for Padre games. I'd have to learn a new spot and it took me five years to get used to the one I go to now.

Agreed, everything else looks good to me though. I definitely like the lightning bolt design into the structure, pretty cool.

Looks like a pipe dream to me. A lot of private property will have to gobbled up for that to happen. The financing and environmental issues will tie it up in court for the next 10 years.

I am not a disinterested observer in this matter; I would gladly volunteer to help pack up all Charger items into moving vans tomorrow. This plan, were it to become a reality, would be terrible for Aztec football for the many reasons that have been discussed numerous times.

AzWm There are a helluva lot of football fans in this city who care for the Chargers so to say you only care about Aztec football is selfish at best. All things being perfect, I'd build a new stadium right next to the old stadium just as they've done in quite a few other cities. Keep the seating tight w/ the sidelines and point the chairs toward midfield. They could learn a lot from JerryWorld in Arlington.

Design looks kind of awful to me. There's a reason no one has built a circular football stadium since the 1960s cookie cutters. This just looks like Three Rivers Stadium built inside of a hollowed-out disco ball.

I like stadium porn as much as the next football fan but thing thing is Fugly. If they insist on putting it downtown, it needs a retractable roof so that it can be multi-use.

The trolley links the school to the stadium. Game time would be incredible.
